Let’s speak of strength and strength alone

Speak of strength and strength alone

Now and then, we talk to people and speak of things that we wouldn’t like to come to pass. But we go on telling them how badly the studies are going on… how crooked the project manager at office is and how tired and dissatisfied you feel after working round the clock for a company that doesn’t even budge when you ask for an appraisal!

Well, well… Have you ever given a thought that these complaints are a sign of weakness? You have been whining all the way from office or college and that is majorly because things are not just right. Things are not right because you think you are not in control. You may assume that you are not in control of situations but you can at least see that you ought to be in control of your thoughts.

What is the point of telling those two hundred friends of your on Facebook that you are feeling so down at the moment! Wouldn’t it be nice to post a joke instead! If you post a status message soaked in pain-frustration-dissatisfaction, ten other folks are going to talk in a way that you will be now be twice as much sure that you really-really are weak! WTF?

Same goes for status messages on other social networks and Instant Messengers. Tell others about the good things that are happening in your life when you answer a question like ‘What’s up?’ And ‘How ya doing?’  on phone, in-person or anywhere else. These are little things that make a huge difference in your daily life. At the end of the day, you will find that making small changes to the way we speak of our life, career and everything else around us… makes a huge difference!

Spread an air of positivity so that it comes back to you. Otherwise you will tell people that you are 5 points sad on a scale of 20 and they will act in a way that you will reach somewhere close to 15.. Unless there is someone who shatters this glass of flawed perception apart for you and that’s rare. Even if there are people to console, people to give you a shoulder, people to counsel you… you have to stand up and walk on you your foot guided by your own wits.

Whining whole day about your weaknesses and what you couldn’t achieve, doesn’t help at all. Eventually, it all comes down to you. You, only you, need to work upon yourself, and act in a strong and positive way. And if you cannot talk about good things then it’s better to remain silent and process your thoughts.

    I struggle with that a lot. :)

  2. nothing is good or bad
only our thinking makes it so
a glass half filled with water is half empty for some n half filled for some
it is only how v perceive things
the emotions v perceive r transmitted as vibrations in vortex n v remain continously in same vibes
so things instead of becoming better get worse
    v shd try n control our minds/thoughts
    everything happens for the best

    • “nothing is good or bad ..only our thinking makes it so” is indeed a superb realization. Idea of vibrations in vortex seems pretty much true. I haven’t studied scientific or precisely biological reasons for such things, but study of my own psyche does prove that.

“It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thought make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light. First, believe in this world, that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you do not understand it in the right light. Throw the burden on yourselves! ” – Vivekananda

  3. It’s good to speak strength and strength alone, when one really missing them. Energy booster drinks and power talks give special “stamina” when someone is “low.”

    • Yes my friend… and weakness won’t even let us remember that we need to grab some energy drinks ;) For most, realization is important. For few, remembrance of realization is important. ~ energy drinks should keep comin.. ~
