My (possible) ending will be strange

my ending will be strange

People die.

You will die too.

Have you ever marveled at your existence? How would it be when you are dead? How would it be when you are no more?

Yeah, brain will be dropped dead, heart will stop pumping blood into your veins and in a few hours, you will go numb. Your body will turn cold and end of the story. That is the part of death we all talk about.

That is a perspective we all have about death of other persons. We feel their absence in our lives. We miss their sweet talks. We miss all good and bad things about them. That’s all. But, what about your own death?

Do you feel yourself in your biological heart which you assumed will stop pumping blood to your veins when you die?

Do you feel yourself in that gray matter on your head which you think will stop its constant calculation and audio-video broadcast that you have been experiencing since you don’t remember when!

Your body informs you about presence of pain but does it signal absence of it? If you don’t feel the core of your being in your heart or head, there is no point of assuming that death in your own perspective will be a halt in biological processes.

You will need an idea about yourself. Then you may contemplate the absence of this idea. You can form any idea about yourself right from your bodily appearance to your character and beliefs. That will be like giving your own self an ‘about me’ description.

Once you have such a description ready, now contemplate the absence of it. Then you may find the answer to a question – how would it be when I am no more!

    As always great writing! :)

Well, surely I have thought over this one reality of LIFE or better word end of the life. Biological life. And since no idea what happens after that, it stops right there. It just finishes. Spiritually, well we have so many views. But no one has ever told they have experienced it.

The thing I never really thought is this:
“Once you have such a description ready, now contemplate the absence of it. Then you may find the answer to a question – how would it be when I am no more!”

    Hmmm… … … [thinking].

    • There is absolutely no benefit of sharing such experiences. Just as I can not explain the taste of apple or mango, it is not not possible to explain something experiential to others. To know anything, one has to experience it. The most anyone can do is to speak of a technique to have that experience.

I contemplate the absence of my body, relationships, wishes, place and everything else that comes occurs to me when practicing it.

Essence of the practice is… there is no such thing called death. Its the direct encounter with death through meditations, deep contemplations and chanting that exposes us to this great truth.
