At all times, your brain will try to help you in best possible manner. It protects you in waking as well as sleeping states. It will keep you aware of the point beyond which you will fall of a bed. It will wake you up when there is some danger around. It will make you tense to generate some extra energy when you need to be really-really serious. Your brain will make your body feel lazy when it needs rest.
Those are a few things that only a great friend will do. However, your brain is now broadcasting just too much multimedia information. When it had little information to handle, things were easy. You were a child and there were not many things to think about. You went on learning, sensing, watching and interpreting things. One negative interpretation in your mind will make you interpret a hundred subsequent incidents on the same lines. That is the pity of this powerful machine.
Your brain tries to be your best friend.
But a foolish friend is no good, right?

So very true.
